Arina and Dina Mironskaya became Austrian champions for the first time

Arina and Dina Mironskaya were at the top of the podium at the Austrian State Championships for the first time among the seniors and confidently secured victory in the overall classification of the team club classification. They competed for the selection of the City of Vienna (President of the Association: Renate Reisinger).
The sisters start for the oldest sports club in Austria – TV Mariahilf – which, thanks to the personal commitment of Heide Brunneder, became one of the first clubs in the country to actively advocate for the development of rhythmic gymnastics.

In the individual all-around, Dina Mironskaya won the silver medal with a total score of 95,400 and only had to admit defeat in a very strong field of winners Julie Neumann (95.650). Arina Mironskaya secured the bronze medal with a total score of 91.850.

In the equipment final, Dina Mironskaya also became state champion for the first time among the seniors in the exercises with the ball and the clubs. She also won silver medals in the tire and band finals. In the overall medal table, both Dina Mironskaya and Julie Neumann each got three gold and three silver medals, clearly underlining their leading role at the Austrian Championships. Unfortunately, Arina Mironskaya had to withdraw due to illness on the following match day and could not participate in the equipment finals.

There are still two major international tournaments ahead: the FIG World Cup (18.–20. July 2025) in Milan and the Challenger Cup (25.–27. July 2025) in Cluj-Napoca. After the results of these competitions, it will be finally decided who will make Austria at the World Championships in Rio de Janeiro (20.–24. August 2025) is represented.

An interim conclusion of the international season so far shows: Dina and Arina Mironskaya lead the ranking of the Austrian national team. Arina scored at the European Championships recently held in Tallinn (4.–8. June 2025) the best result among all Austrian participants. Dina Mironskaya was also able to further increase her personal bests at FIG tournaments – among other things with a multi-round result of 96,700 points and an outstanding tire cure (25,500 points) at the international tournament in Tbilisi (14.-15. June 2025).

Overall, the sports career of the sisters Arina and Dina Mironskaya continues to pick up speed: Both were recently included in the worldwide ranking of the top 100 gymnasts. Dina also asserts her leadership position in the national team for the second year in a row. The previous year she won the gold medal at the FIG qualifying tournament Gracia Fair Cup in Budapest – a historic success, because an Austrian gymnast was last successful in 1988, when Elisabeth Bergmann won gold at the Medici Cup in Feldkirch. Also noteworthy is the successful organization of this year’s state championships, which can be considered one of the best in recent years. The newly elected president of the Austrian Olympic Committee, Horst Nussbaumer, personally visited the rhythmic gymnastics competitions. The championships were also part of the national major project Austria Finals, which took part from 18 to 22. June in the former Olympic city of Innsbruck – with the support of the Austrian Lotteries. A total of 57,000 athletes participated in 37 sports, in which 250 medals were awarded.
