Arina and Dina Mironskaya are in the top 100 for the first time!

Arina and Dina Mironskaya Enter the World’s Top 100 Rhythmic Gymnasts for the First Time!

After the retirement of Caroline Weber, a participant in the 2008 and 2012 Olympic Games, and Nicol Ruprecht, a Grand Prix finalist in Moscow and bronze medalist in Brno and Innsbruck, Austrian rhythmic gymnastics is making a comeback to the world elite.

Arina and Dina Mironsky have entered the ranking of the world’s top 100 gymnasts (Arina is ranked 93rd, Dina 96th), confirming their status as leaders of the Austrian national team. Additionally, Dina Mironsky won the gold medal in the ribbon event at an FIG license tournament in Budapest.

In the past, rhythmic gymnastics in Austria flourished thanks to the personal commitment, activity, and international reputation of Heide Bruneder, who had held numerous responsible positions in Austrian and European rhythmic gymnastics since 1982. Due to her initiative, Austria hosted many major international tournaments, including the 29th European Championship in Vienna in 2013. As a result, rhythmic gymnastics was a popular sport in Austria, and the country enjoyed a strong international reputation.

With the appointment of Dr. Gabriela Jan as President of the Austrian Gymnastics Federation in September 2024, there is renewed confidence that Austria will achieve new successes and further strengthen its international standing under her leadership. Dr. Jan brings extensive experience, having also served as a member of the Executive Committee of the National Olympic Committee.

Exciting news and events lie ahead!
